Academic Leadership
Education at University of York is not about passive learning; it is about empowering the next generation of engineers to bridge the gap between engineering, robotics, physics, AI/ML and clinical application.
Biomedical Engineering (ELE00082H)
The Focus: Bridging the interface between engineering and human biology.
I designed this module to equip undergraduates with the ability to translate clinical needs into engineering specifications, focusing on the development of surgical instruments and diagnostic sensors.

Student Project Highlight: Developed a Python-based control system for obtaining teleoperated ultrasound images on phantom tissues (2025-26).

Future Healthcare and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (ELE00171M)
The Focus: The intersection of AI, signal analysis, and clinical radiology.
In this postgraduate module, I lead students through the four-stage CAD pipeline—preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, and AI classification—to automate the detection of lesions in medical imaging.
Student Project Highlight: Algorithmic Validation: Postgraduate work focusing on automated feature extraction for diagnostic support.(2025-26).

Medical Imaging and Physics (ELE00173M)
The Focus: The physical principles of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation in medicine. Non pictorial methods of medical imaging includes ECG and EEG.
This module focuses on the deep physics behind radiography, PET/CT, and ultrasound. I work with Physics department to ensure students understand relation between health conditions with related non pictorial methods of image analysis like ECG and EEG.
Student Project Highlight: Physics and Engineering in Practice: Simulating EEG and ECG signals for understanding patient health condition. (2025-26).
